[00:00:00] Misty: Here’s something I’ve noticed in so many coaching conversations, and actually just conversations that I’ve had with a Christian woman about money. The moment it comes up, something shifts. The energy changes. Shoulders come up and tighten. The voice gets quiet. And it’s not because of irresponsibility.
It’s not because she doesn’t care. It’s because somewhere along the way, most of us as women have picked up the idea that money is either too worldly to bring to God or too scary to look at ourselves. So we don’t do either. We just manage. We survive. We hope that it works out. But what if that’s not what God had in mind at all?
[00:01:06] Foluke: Just because you borrowed money doesn’t mean you stay in debt. Um, I like to compare it to a poopy diaper. You know that some kids are.
Being in a poop diaper. They would sit in there, play in there like, oh my God. It smells, they’re comfortable. It’s nice and warm, right? Uhhuh, um, got extra cushion, whatever. They’re okay with it, but others are like, get this off of me. Get it off of me. Now they’re practically taking the diaper off for you.
It just depends on the kid.
[00:01:40] Misty: That is Foluke Olaleye. And yes, she just compared debt to a poopy diaper and preached a whole sermon in the same breath. That’s who she is, and you are about to love her
Hey, hey. Welcome back to Mom2Mom Mentoring. I am so glad you’re here. Pull up a chair. This one’s going to stretch you, encourage you, and probably challenge a few things that you thought or you thought you knew about money and about God. This is Mom2Mom Mentoring, a weekly podcast offering soul-nourishing wisdom for Christian moms who want peace, presence, and purpose in the middle of real life.
I believe mentoring matters. I believe every woman deserves someone a few steps ahead of her who will reach back a hand and say, “Hey, you can do this,” because someone did that for me, and that’s why we’re here. I’m your host, Misty Hughes, ICF Certified Life Coach, founder of Single Mom KC, and creator of the Rhythm of Life framework.
I’ve been coaching and mentoring Christian women for over 25 years, and I am still learning, which is honestly why today’s episode exists. Before we get in, two quick things. First, if this podcast has meant something to you, the most generous thing that you can do is share it with one mom who needs it.
Don’t worry about a review, not even a follow. Yeah. Just one text to one mom. That’s how this grows. Second, if you want to go deeper on building rhythms that actually hold your life together when everything is falling apart, head to mistyhughes.com/resources and grab the Rhythms of Renewal mini guide. It’s free, and it is good.
Now, about my [00:04:00] guest today. First of all, her name is Foluke Olaele. And if that doesn’t capture your attention, Just hang on to all those mom hats. Her listeners lovingly call her Auntie Foluke, and , within about four minutes of this conversation, you’re gonna understand why they do.
She has that auntie energy, the kind that looks you straight in the eye and tells you the truth in love, and somehow makes you feel like you want to hug her and do better with your money all at the same time. She’s a financial coach, author, and founder of Hand-In-Hand Consulting, and her work isn’t just about the math.
It’s about the mindset, the habits, and the heart behind how you spend, save, and steward what God has given you. . She’s the author of Plant Your Money Seeds. She hosts the Today Plan Tomorrow podcast, and her tagline says everything, “Today, plan tomorrow,” because waiting until tomorrow to sort out your finances, it’s never the right strategy.
Fun facts, because I adore this woman already. Foluke is a spa girl. If there’s a quiet room and a massage table, that’s where you’ll find her, and she will typically fall asleep so fast she never even makes it to 30,000 feet on a airplane. Same energy she brings to rest, she brings to money.
Intentional, peaceful, and no wasted motion. Foluke woke up on Valentine’s Day in 2025 with a download from God, a whole business, a whole mission, a whole market. And by Monday of that same year, she had a name, a blueprint, and her first client. This is who we are talking to today, a woman who said yes fast and hasn’t looked back.
Here’s what I want you to hold onto as you listen. Money is not outside the scope of your faith. It is not separate from your calling, and the way you steward what God has given you is one of the most profound acts of trust that you can offer him. If that’s a conversation that you want to go deeper on, the whole woman, the whole life, the rhythms that actually hold, I’m gonna ask that you join us in our next Becoming cohort.
It’s a 12-week group coaching experience for women who are ready to stop striving and start building something sustainable. Head to mistihughes.com/cohort. Get on the wait list for the next cohort coming up soon. Okay. Foluke is going to show you what faithful stewardship really looks like practically, biblically, and honestly
foluke, let’s go back to the beginning. How did this incredibly beautiful woman sitting across the Zoom room from me ever get involved in finances?
[00:07:38] Foluke: My journey started when I got divorced, actually, when I first got separated from my now ex-husband. We were managing money together. while we were separated, my brother-in-law handed me electronically a digital book.
That changed my life. It changed how I managed money, and it [00:08:00] allowed me to see that I money and.
Year old little boy to care for and looking at his future, I needed a game plan for how to make sure that I could take this kid from two years old to 18 years old and be financially healthy. So I followed this financial blueprint and it worked. Within two years, I was outta death. And I had saved a six month emergency fund because I was a single mom and I saved for the down payment on a house.
I was living with my parents, thankfully, but I was paying them. I, I don’t wanna call it rent, but I was paying to them what I was paying and contributing with my ex-husband. I literally took that same financial contribution in that household and put it into my parents’ household. So I never wanna feel like a freeloader, and I never wanna take advantage of my parents who were more than crime.
They actually demanded that I move in with them. You’re not doing this single parent thing by yourself. So after I got out of debt, saved an emergency and put the down payment for my home. I lived a very fun, active travel career, all of that life, but still being financially conscious and aware. And in that journey, other people started noticing and asking me questions about money and I was coaching them for free for 10 years.
last year, February 14th, 2025, I woke up like at six 30 in the morning. I felt the Holy Spirit. Literally, it felt like a dump, a download. This is what you’re gonna do. You’re gonna be a financial coach. You’re going to reach my daughters, and you’re going to tell them how much I love them, and you’re going to show them how to steward money my way so I can help them live free between 6:30 AM and the time I went to bed that night, Valentine’s Day.
It felt like God showed me the whole picture, and I started putting into process by Monday because Valentine’s Day 2025 was a Friday. By Monday I had the name of my business. I had the blueprint layout, and I started reaching people and got my first client that week.
It was simply a God download. It has not been easy because I had a lot of learning to do, and at that time I was still a very corporate woman, career woman traveling.
I was a national sales manager for a rather large company. I had a sales team. I had a kid I was raising. And I’m like, God, how am I going to do this? I thought he had given me Misty, a three year plan.
I was going to slowly leave the corporate world while slowly building up my financial coaching, but God had a different plan. between April and October, 2025, my company must have asked me 12 to 20 if I would relocate, and
The Holy Spirit said, no, you’re not, you’re not moving. My son had just started his senior year in in high school. And this was not the time to pull him away from his friends, his family, like, uh, we have a really close family unit. Everything said, no, you’re not leaving. So I said, so God, what do I do? He said, you walk away.
So I did in October, 2025, I walked away from 24 years in the industrial sales industry that I had built up. I’ve been in this one industry since college. and I’ve trusted God to catch me on the other side. But this thing, [00:12:00] God showed himself so real to me when I got a divorce.
And the vision was literally after my ex-husband and I were separated and got back together, I just remember one.
Early, early, early morning. Must have been my 3:00 AM staying up, waiting for a nan to come home and having this conversation with God and God literally telling me like, I’m not gonna tell you what to do, but I do need you to know that no matter what you do, I’ll catch you. but you keep asking me the same question over and over.
It’s not the first time you’ve asked me what you should do in this situation. You keep asking me to show you. Show me what’s happening. Show me what he’s really doing. Show me, show me, show me. He’s like, and I keep showing you, but you’re not making a decision based on what you’ve seen. But no matter what decision you make, I will catch you.
So the same guy that was faithful to catch me when I did decide to walk away from the marriage for my peace, for my child’s peace. I have trusted him over all these years, and I said, how can he not catch me now?
[00:13:07] Foluke: he’s the one that’s made a way, put this whole business in me, knowing the journey from the company would end within a few months.
But I didn’t leave with nothing. I left with a good severance. I left with this business in my heart and I left knowing that God wanted me to reach a market.
For his glory and for a purpose to manage money his way, which would in turn allow people to live free
[00:13:36] Misty: So you talk about managing money God’s way. Yes. what is different about managing money God’s way than the way that you see most
[00:13:55] Foluke: Christians? From one of two sides of the spectrum, fear and obligation, right? They think they have to give their money to God force and other Christians are in the, more stuff I have, the more it shows that God is, blessing and both are wrong.
Both are wrong. God is a God that wants relationship with us, and he’s not giving you stuff just for you to have stuff. It’s not about the stuff and he’s not taking your money. What he desires is your heart. What he desires is a relationship. He desires is for you to surrender your decisions yourself and your money to him.
And allow him to multiply it. Allow him to tell you what to do with it, where to sew it, where to invest it, where to work to get it.
[00:14:48] Misty: you talked about the, those two years after your divorce, you put your son’s two and a half, your, you are, paying off debt, but you’re also saving and
[00:15:00] Foluke: No,
[00:15:01] Misty: no.
[00:15:02] Foluke: You don’t do both at the same time.
[00:15:05] Misty: Okay.
[00:15:05] Foluke: So that’s the other thing, like. Stay focused. We get distracted. I get distracted.
It’s so easy to get distracted and wanna do five things at the same time. I wanna get outta debt. I wanna save an emergency fund. I want to invest I wanna put away money for retirement. I wanna save for a kid’s college fund. I wanna save money to buy a house. And you don’t get any of those things done
[00:15:28] Misty: well.
They’re all good things.
[00:15:29] Foluke: All good things. But in the wrong order, you don’t accomplish any of them. So it’s very important to stay focused. But I like to say I have a pillar for my, my business, and it starts with awareness First, you need to actually know where you are, and too many people walk around with intentional blindfolds.
They don’t wanna see. and the second thing is to be the person that you desire to [00:16:00] be. If you wanna be a good steward of finances, if you wanna steward money God’s way, you’ve gotta figure out how God wants you to steward it.
And God is about focus. You focus on getting out. It’s biblical. You don’t wanna owe anybody anything except to love. But at the same time, it’s not that debt is bad. Oh my goodness, you’re a horrible person ’cause you’re in debt. No, there may be some times where you wanna invest in yourself, and there are scenarios in the Bible where people borrowed money.
In the book of Proverbs, it’s also very clear. Get outta that and get outta it quick.
But you wanna doing money god’s way. You actually wanna get outta debt. Money that you are giving to someone else, you’re not free to give it to God and to do with your money what God wants you to do with it. If God says, Hey, I want you to go on a missionary trip, but you have $50,000 in debt that you owe to XY, and you’re still obligated to pay that.
So how can you say yes to God when you’ve already handcuffed yourself to someone else? That is the reason why it’s important to get outta debt. It’s not that debt itself is bad, it’s just that debt prevents you from being obedient to God. When he calls, when God asked me to do this business and the, my former career ended, I was able to say yes to him because I had saved up money to make this leap, to make this transition into this career.
God provided for me in advance because I stewarded the money he had me manage. Right. I stewarded it well for 20 years.
[00:17:43] Misty: this is like miracle story as I hear you unfold. God’s leadership in your life but it wasn’t just his leadership because you had to say yes to his leadership.
You had to take the blinders off. You had to take a good, hard look at the reality of, oh wow, I am you in, what are we gonna do about this? And then you, said yes to. his plan, like you said, his leadership and the way he led. I love that and I think it’s encouraging, especially for women, whether we’re single or married, to really dive in like it’s possible.
We don’t have to be ignorant. And I think you have a pretty strong philosophy or belief about women and money. Yes. And so would you share that with us? Because I think we need to hear it.
[00:18:47] Foluke: Yes. Especially Christian women, the most important thing is to see God as your provider is to see the Holy Spirit as your husband.
and this goes for married or single women. Because the reality is, 90% of women will be head of household at some point in their life. Their, if you never get married, head of household. You get married and your husband dies.
You’re head of household, and the majority of men passed before their wives, and we’re in a season right now. They’re saying literally in the next 10 years, women will actually have in our possession the majority of the world’s wealth.
[00:19:32] Misty: Really? Mm-hmm.
[00:19:35] Foluke: Who manages it until it gets into the hands of the children.
Who owns it? The wife does, the widow does.
[00:19:41] Misty: We better get, yeah.
[00:19:45] Foluke: And you know how many divorces and you see it even like high level billions and billions of dollars that wife just took, ex-wife just took half that money.
[00:19:55] Misty: Mm-hmm. Yeah.
[00:19:57] Foluke: So we need to be able to manage it [00:20:00] well. If you see God the Father as your husband, you’re not gonna panic because you’re single and you don’t have a man telling you what to do with money.
You’re not gonna panic because you’re facing a divorce and you don’t know what to do financially. Your husband, the Holy Spirit inside of you will guide you so long as you listen. So that is my mission, is for us to trust God. And how we manage money so that in managing it his way, he can actually bless us to be obedient to do with the money, what he wants us to do with it.
And eventually, and ultimately the biggest, most important thing is so that we experience his love in it because he loves us very, very much. That’s the difference between me and any other financial coach that you’ll hear is that God’s love. Of your life. This is not about whether you go to church. This isn’t about whether you’re in a women’s group.
This isn’t about, um, whether you read your Bible every day. God wants every piece of you, especially your money. And money is the number one thing that God talks about in the Bible because money touches every area of your life.
[00:21:19] Misty: Okay. Luc, I’m gonna confess something here.
so I would single, a single mom raised four kids 22 years. And I really learned to lean into him as provider, as my husband, as my helper We’ve never gone without paying a bill. We’ve never gone, hungry. We’ve always had a roof over our heads, now I’m married. So when you talk about him being our provider.
for couples. How do we really, really step into that?
[00:21:59] Foluke: I love that question and I feel like God has had me experience different things so that I can touch different women. I lived single life, got married, parenting life, single mother life, divorced,
And then I remarried
in that situation. I realized how different, but just as important, it’s to rely on do as my provider. And it’s different slightly when you have a husband, because there’s this other person. But this is something that I learned to be very true.
And it’s also.
Headship does not replace God headship. The more I study the Bible, Genesis 1 28, then God blessed them. Often we think together, Adam and Eve, just ’cause they’re married. No God bless them individually and collectively, individually. Them be
dominion over right said, expects you not take a seat. Many women do. Now that I have this husband, I’m not required to multiply anything except the babies in my tummy. Not true. God expects you to multiply what he put in your hand, whether it’s your career, your hobby on the side, whatever, it’s God gave you something, a gift, a talent, an expertise, a skill.
Multiply it. God commanded you to be fruitful and multiply. So that’s one thing.
[00:23:55] Misty: Okay, wait, I just wanna say girl, you [00:24:00] could preach that till the cows comes home. that idea being fruitful and multiplying, I don’t think we hear that enough.
It’s not just about having children and multiplying and procreating,
[00:24:14] Foluke: right. Correct. But this is the reality, and again, one of the reasons why I speak the way I do, I’m here to encourage women to pick up those Bibles and read it for yourself.
You’ll be shocked. How many women there are in that Bible? You will be shocked at the audacity of the women in the Bible, the strength of the women in the Bible. You would be shocked at what they accomplished. They were soldiers in armies, they were judges and they were worriers. God did not tell them to sit down and go somewhere.
Do you know? I know I could totally preach on this, but this is the truth. Do you know what hurts God’s heart? God’s heart is hurt over and over again in the the prophets, They talk about what pains God’s heart, why God was so upset with Israel, and one of the reasons he was so mad is because they were misusing the women.
They were oppressing the poor. God never supported women being mistreated. he literally said to Micah, the prophet.
They’re robbing the next generation of their inheritance, and those women deserve that property. It’s theirs to pass on. So as women, we need to know what our rights are. And we stand for it, and we can do it boldly when we know that God defends us and desires for us to have his blessing.
Imagine how much more courageous you would be We talk about the pop of 31 woman, right? That woman was not asking that male permission. Oh, how many of these should I buy? Who should I hire?
[00:26:00] Misty: I know. She was a business woman. She negotiated. She bought, she sold. She traded. I wanna go back to Genesis the word for, helpmate, yes. The little, the literal word for helpmate. Yeah, it, it means one of the translations for that word is literally a military ally.
that means you bring your strength. one puts 1,002, put 10,000 to flight. It doesn’t mean subservient or anything like that. It means you both have strength. You both have, talents, that you are bringing to the union.
And, yours is just as important as his I wanna
[00:26:48] Foluke: to that a little bit
[00:26:49] Misty: right there.
[00:26:50] Foluke: Okay?
[00:26:50] Misty: Yes. Uh,
[00:26:53] Foluke: a word that used. Very few times in the Bible.
And most of the time it’s in reference to the Holy Spirit.
And it basically means, like you said, it’s a military term, but it also means without this ally, without this person, the battle is lost.
[00:27:14] Misty: Oh wow.
[00:27:15] Foluke: Without her, you don’t have a chance, dude. You might as well not just allow her strength
but nurture her strength, which by the way is what husband me, a husband. Husband man is another word for a gardener. You know what the first thing God told Adam to do
[00:27:35] Misty: to be fruit? No. To tend
[00:27:38] Foluke: to tend the ground to till it to husband it.
a husband. Purpose and roll.
to tend to his home, to nurture his wife,
right. To fill up the soil, to basically do all the things that he would do for a garden.
God blessed him with this amazing flower. [00:28:00] Your job is to tend to her. So that’s the spiritual aspect. The scientific aspect says that when a woman is happy, when the wife or mother is happy, her mood impacts the entire home.
The role of the husband is to tend to her. The mood of the home will be safe and peaceful and calm if she feels safe. And that and calm. Yeah.
[00:28:27] Misty: This has been so rich I would love to spend more time diving into the word of God because it sounds like you have just such rich, deep understanding and you’ve cultivated your own spiritual garden that we could all just sit and. Partake.
[00:28:48] Foluke: Yes.
[00:28:49] Misty: there was something I think it was a reel the widow’s mic.
Oh,
[00:28:53] Foluke: yes. That has been sitting in my heart.
And finally, I said, I’m actually gonna say it out loud, because it’s never told correctly.
And this is why it’s important for we women to read the Bible for ourselves. When you read the Bible, that story is told in two places in the book of when it is told Jesus is talking to and about the teachers of religious law and he’s making an observation.
That these men are dressed in these fine garments, compare it to tailored suits, custom made tailored suits, they look good. They’ve also created these rules that are not God’s rule. It’s their rule. And Jesus knew the difference, right? Jesus knew the difference between what God was asking people to do and what the Pharisees had added to.
And made requirements that were not God’s requirements and he’s watching these teachers of religious law make these demands that these people will come into the temple and put this money in for whatever the reason of the cause was. Mandatory obligation. They’re giving a little bit and these other people, this widow, she’s giving two mites, but that’s all she had.
Jesus compares what she gave to what they were giving. And for some reason people interpreted that as that he was praising her. Oh, she did such a good job. She gave of her last. You should give of your last whatever you’ve got. Believe that God is gonna bless you. You give of your last. Pass the bucket.
Let’s collect everything. But Jesus is hard. Was for how she was being abused and misused. How dare these teachers of religious law wearing their fine garments sitting at the head of these banquet tables everywhere they go, they need people to address them as, Hey Reverend. Hi pastor, so and so.
Hey, apostles such and such They need all these fancy titles.
Jesus says, look at them. Look at her. That’s not good. That is harmful, and that is not what God has for his daughter at all.
But instead of people reading that scripture and saying, oh my goodness, I’m dressed in fine clothes. I’ve got people respecting me Left than right. I’ve got more than enough. Hey widow, you don’t give a thing. We pour into you. We don’t demand anything of you, is what Jesus would’ve said. Paul later on came and he says, this is what we do for the widows.
Let’s make sure they’re true widows. You’re not 30 years old in the widow. You better go on and work and get you another husband. But for those who are true widows, you’re not gonna have any more kids. We take you on. We care for you. We also give you a space to utilize your skills. Whether it’s cooking, whether it’s sewing, whatever the skill is that you have, we take care of you.
But it [00:32:00] also says that if you have a child, that child’s first responsibility is to take care of you. So the church doesn’t have to, if you do not care for your own, you are worse than an infidel. The Bible says. That’s what I mean by money touches everything. Whether you’re the child or you’re the adult, you’re the pastor or you’re a member of the congregation.
Money touches how you engage with people. It touches your relationship with everyone. It touches your relationship with your spouse. It touches your relationship with your kids, touches your relationship with your friends, your colleagues, everyone. And God has a way that is loving and kind.
Not abusive and not oppressive, but we that until.
I read God’s word for themselves about their finances, to shift their mindset from how they think money should be, used their own way. I’m the head of my finances. I make the decision, which is fine. That’s the world’s way.
The act way is God, what do you want me to do?
How do you want me to manage this money that you gave to me? Remember the story of the talent, the threes with the talent?
[00:33:26] Misty: Yeah.
[00:33:27] Foluke: the first one had five talents. The second one had three, and the third one had one.
I love that they used talent. Talent was money back then, but it literally can refer to our talent, our skills, what we have, our careers. This was the master’s expectation, and it didn’t say whether it was a male or female servant. This was the master’s expectation. Multiply it simple, multiply it. I gave you a talent.
Do with it that blesses other people, that it brings back more than what you put out. The one with the five went out and multiplied it. The one with the three went out and multiplied it. This is the very interesting thing that people never talk about when they talk about that story. Neither of them compared what they did to the other.
They weren’t looking at the other person. That other person does not get to speak into the talents. He didn’t give it to you. The only person who you should be focused on is the master. The master is coming back. The master has expectations of me that the master is gonna ask what I did with the talent.
What talent, I should know the Masters so well in my relationship with him, that I know exactly what he wants me to do with these talent and who he wants me to reach with these talent. The one servant, the one hi. How many of us as wives, as mothers, I’ve done this. I have done this and the Holy Spirit has convicted me over and over and over again.
I used to think that I needed to be number two behind a man. I needed to be number two in the corporate world behind somebody. I needed to be number two at home behind somebody. I needed to be number two in my family behind somebody. And God says, no, I gave you talent. So speak up, use your voice, use your talent. So God gets the glory. But some of us hide it and we do nothing with it. We bury it because we think I’m just a woman. I’m just a mom. No one’s gonna listen to me. I’m just a girl.
but God doesn’t look at it that way.
[00:35:55] Misty: Yeah.
[00:35:56] Foluke: I expect you to multiply. Like, I expect that man to multiply. [00:36:00] Don’t hide your talent when that servant hid his talent.
Servant Wicked because you prevented other people from receiving what you had.
You judged what I gave you, I gave it to you. You judged it as little, how dare you judge it as little.
[00:36:23] Misty: you’ve talked a lot about the love of God, and I think so many times it starts with just, we don’t understand the heart of our good, good father, our beloved bridegroom, And so we do, we cower in fear. We’re afraid we bury our talent. So much of this, comes back to what is our perception of who God is? Yeah. Do we really understand?
you’ve shared so much goodness with all of us. You have led us into deep, deep truth that we can’t get away from now. I mean, we’ve heard it and now we’re responsible for what we have heard today. you’ve brought truth that rightly divides I see you’ve written a book called
Plant your money seed? how can we get more?
[00:37:25] Foluke: Well, I have something that’s free for your listeners, and this is something that a lot of women have come to me to say they need help with, and that is managing inconsistent. So they may be business owners, small business owners, or they’re working jobs where the paycheck is not exactly the same from month to month every two weeks.
And I’m like, how do I budget for that? How do I manage it so I have a free resource for them? It’s the five biggest mistakes you’re making with inconsistent income, and it’s going to bless them. And they’re going to be even stronger, more aware of what to do and also the mindset they should have when their finances are not always consistent every month.
So that’s what I have.
[00:38:16] Misty: I will put the link for that in the show notes. We’ll share that on social when the podcast comes out as well, because I know people are gonna wanna grab hold of that.
So thank you so, so much for being with us It has truly, truly been such a rich in so many ways and fruitful, time with you. So thank you so much.
[00:38:40] Foluke: You’re welcome. It’s been my pleasure and my honor to be here with you.
[00:38:47] Misty: Stewardship is an act of love, not obligation, not fear. Love. When you manage money God’s way, you are not following a rule, you are trusting a person, and that person is the same God who caught you every single time
Settle in on that reality. That’s looking at money through the God lens, through the lens of love. Now, Foluke has a free resource that’s specifically for women who are navigating an inconsistent income. Maybe you’re a business owner, a freelancer, a mom whose paycheck looks different every month. It’s called The Five Biggest Mistakes You’re Making With Inconsistent Income.
The link is in the show notes. Go grab it. And if this conversation meant something to you, please pass it on. Text it to your sister, your bestie, the [00:40:00] woman in your small group who’s been afraid to look at her bank account. One text. That’s all it takes. And if you want to keep this conversation going, come find us on the Facebook community, Christian Moms in Business and Ministry.
This week, we’re gonna go deep on money. , Next week we’re gonna talk about something that the church doesn’t talk about nearly enough: sex, shame, and God’s design for intimacy. My guest, Mary Whitman Ortiz, and I promise you, this conversation is just as honest, just as scriptural, and every bit as important as what you heard today. Don’t miss it.
Foluke said it so well. God loved you enough to give you talents. He gave them to you, not someone else’s version of you, not the smaller version you’ve been hiding behind. And His expectation? Hey, go multiply your talents, not because you have to prove something, because this is how His kingdom comes.
We pray it, we say it, we sing it. Now, beloved, let His kingdom come through you.
not someday, not when you get your finances in order. Now. you are created to shine, Because when you shine, you give others permission to shine too.
Whatever you walked in here carrying today, fear, avoidance, I’ll figure it out later, just set it all down and pick up something better: a God who goes hand in hand with you into every financial decision you’ll ever make
I’m Misty Hughes. You’ve been listening to Mom to Mom Mentoring. Now, go shine
